Golfers are spoilt for choice; Doonfoot is bordered by Belleisle Park, which contains two municipal golf courses, Seafield and Belleisle. Belleisle was designed by professional golfer James Braid, has hosted the Scottish Open and is widely considered to be one of the best public courses in Scotland. Another municipal golf course, Dalmilling, is a few miles away.

The championship courses of Turnberry and Royal Troon are also within short driving distance.
